The World Tour/Tori de Tori concept was started in 2002 year because we had some free time on our hands that Spring. The idea is to participate in as many Great Strides-type CF events without vaporizing our checking account and overburdening donors. We did six events in 2002 without much of a strategy, with some planning time in 2003, we squeezed in nine events in 10 weekends. The Tour de Tori in 2004 was smaller in scale with only 7 events. With softball not materializing this year, Robert had extra time on his hands, so it was 12 events in 13 weeks. When the counting was over, we'd raised $8,151!
While we don't actively seek donations outside of the Seattle walk, we encourage every Trooper to participate wherever they can, and we like to be there when they do. Members of the Troopers turned in their donations at these other events and we also turn in our post-Seattle stragglers at the later events. Plus, there's always great food at these events, so you can't go wrong!

We try to attend as many as we reasonably can, but there are always some we can't get to. As always, event information is available at the CFF office, 206-282-4770 or washington@cff.org.
