This was the 9th annual pub crawl through the wilds of Fremont, using the best fundraising method ever invented - drinking beer. This year's Troll Stroll had 12 bars on board and an afterparty featuring Osaka Explosion, sponsored by toritimes.com. Over 1,100 participants raised over $45,000 in one afternoon.
Tori's Pub Crawlers evolved into Tori's Troll Strollers in 2008 and in 2009 we transitioned to The Fightin' G-Gnomes Drinking Team. Our team has been to every CF pub crawl and we showed everybody how to do it right by hitting all 12 bars and the afterparty. Carol and Robert even had breakfast at Norm's with Brock Brady's team. The year's event seemed more crowded and noisier than previous year's strolls, but everybody was having a great time so it's hard to complain.
This year our team had six members: Veterans Robert, Carol, Connie, Russ and Gavin were joined by longtime free agent Joni Kirschenman. The weather was a bit cloudy to start the day, but a huge rain shower moved through towards the end of the stroll to help wash away the vomit and urine (I'm kidding!) Osaka Explosion was great and Robert even got to introduce the band to the crowd at Nectar.
