The end of May saw us make another trip east of the Cascades to the campus of Gonzaga University. Carol's cousins Del and Jeannette joined the Troopers for the 3 mile walk on the Centennial Trail. Dawn Cochran and Kris Maxwell made the trek from the west side of the state, and the Whites were there with the 65 Rose Garden.

This year the event beat its goal with 231 walkers raising $45,000. Pizza was baked on-site for walkers by David's Pizza and despite record rainfall the day before, the weather cooperated with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 60's.
