Tori's Troopers returned to Portland for the first time since 2005. This trip was a carefully choreographed ballet of pick-up and delivery of walkers.
Tori and her George Fox roommates were attending a wedding Friday night, so Tori was dropped off at Angie's house. Later they picked up Lindsey at the train station. Robert and Carol then checked in to the Residence Inn in Portland. Saturday morning Tori, Angie, Lindsey and Grace dropped off Jacinda at George Fox and then drove to Portland to meet up with Carol and Robert at Oaks Amusement Park for the walk. After the walk Tori, Carol and Robert dropped off Lindsey at the train station and then drove back to Redmond to get ready for the Seattle Great Strides walk the next day.
The weather was sunny and 700+ walkers raised over $210,000. The food line was long and slow so we headed to Red Robin for a post-walk victory party.

With the food line barely moving we made the decision to head to Red Robin instead. A strawberry lemonade drinking contest began shortly after our arrival.
